Are you looking to save on heating bills?

With increases in energy costs we are frequently asked: ‘How can I reduce my running costs?’

Is it time to replace your heater?

Older appliances, especially those with standing pilot lights may be worth replacing.Heaters with standing pilots can use around 4.22kWh of gas per day, 1,540kWhs per year!

A typical Heater from around 2000-2006 with an input of 58.6kW per hour and an output of 46.9kW per hour has an efficiency of 80%, plus the cost of the pilot light.

A new (2023) heater with a similar output has an efficiency of 91.6% and does not have a standing pilot – Giving running costs savings of up to 15%.
