BESCA has been established by the Heating and Ventilating Contractors' Association to act as an independent assessment and certification body for the building services industry. Under the Government’s “Enhanced Capital Allowance” scheme, these producst attract Tax benefit for the “End –User” businesses purchasing them.  Under the scheme the full value of an installed system can be written off against Corporation Tax in the year of purchase.  This can lead to quite a financial saving. A market leader, committed to consistent high standards, Harry Taylor has had continual CORGI registration (number 1425) since well before this became a mandatory requirement in 1991. Recognising the benefits to its customers of the BS5750 quality standard the company has been registered with SGS (UK) Ltd since 1996, and has now converted to ISO9001:2000 with its emphasis on customer focus.  CORGI is the national watchdog for gas safety in the United Kingdom until March 31st 2009. From 1 April 2009, Gas Safe Register™ will be the official stamp for gas safety in Great Britain.
About our service and support staff:
Typically the process starts with an enquiry to either heat or cool a building from a potential customer.  Skilled in our ability to give a budget quotation based on some simple site information we are able to give our customers a good idea of the costs involved installing a suitable system.  We then follow this with a site visit to give our firm price for the system.

Our service and installation staff, all have the relevant NAC qualifications required for the work Harry Taylor specifies for its customers.  These qualifications are renewed every 5 years ensuring that our engineers are always in touch with the latest gas industry regulations and techniques.  We also have a long established scheme for training apprentices.  It takes our apprentices between 4 and 5 years to train to NVQ level 3 at which point they are ready to sit the NAC qualifications and start their careers as senior engineers.

We are very proud of our engineer's workmanship and their ability to work with our clients whilst on site. We regularly have to install heaters in premises where our customers have to continue to operate whilst we install our equipment.

Our service does not stop there.  We always recommend that gas and oil appliances are serviced in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations.  We are able to offer service contracts for our heating and cooling plant. Generally we service heaters in the summer and thereafter return at no extra labour charge to put right any genuine problem experienced in the year following our service.  We have experience of equipment provided by all major manufacturers’ (including Ambirad, Benson, Powrmatic, Reznor and Roberts Gordon to name a few) and are able to extend the service contract to other makes of equipment.

Our engineers are supported by our friendly and helpful office staff.  Customer satisfaction is of major importance to us as over 50% of new business comes from repeat or recommended customers.  Our Customer Service Manager supervises our response both to new heating installations and service breakdowns ensuring that we meet our customers’ expectations.  Furthermore all key office staff like our engineers are BESCA qualified ensuring the best co-ordinated approach to our customers’ needs.
Harry Taylor operates an efficient and effective quality system which meets the requirements of ISO9001 by: defect prevention and continuous quality improvement in order to "get it right first time" every time; management providing the necessary resources to maintain the quality management system; ensuring that all personnel are fully conversant with and have the necessary skills and competence, through education and training, to achieve the company's objectives; the Quality Management System being mandatory and all employees complying with the documented procedures with no deviations or alternatives being permitted without prior authorisation from the quality representative.
