The museum did not have mains gas. It was also of a size that electric heating would have been very expensive to run. So Harry Taylor suggested that they consider having a bulk propane supply installed. This would allow them to have a warm air system throughout the premises. Certain parts of the premises were also lofty enough to justify having Eliturbo destratification fans to help spread the heat and prevent it from rising and therefore being wasted.
